FAMILY LIFE GROUPS

Family Life Groups are the ROC's homegroup ministries. We have designed them to be a safe place to get to know other people as well as a place that you can easily introduce your friends and family members to the church and even Christianity in a relaxed atmosphere. At the same time that these Family Life Groups meet, our Children's and Youth ministries also meet at the ROC. So its a perfect opportunity for you parents to drop your kids off, go to a Life Group, and then pick them up afterwards back at the church.

Here's our three current family life groups:

Welcome Home! Learning to Live as Children of the Kingdom

Led by John & Donna Carter and Jerry & Karen Humphrey

Held at 305 N. Dover Rd. Dover, FL (map)

 

Our purpose is to explore and experience a deepening reality of the Kingdom of God. We will use the following general format:

1. A time of Worship -- setting an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to move.

2. Meditation on God's Word -- not a set book study; but, a passage that we can explore from the perspective of God's Kingdom.

3. Sharing our Life -- a time of deepening our relationships as children of God. This comes from a model of 'Belonging' (a group that met weekly for over 7 years in Vermont), where we go around the room and each person MAY take a few moments to share their 'most life-giving' and/or their 'least life-giving' times of the past week.

4. Table of the Lord

5. Fellowship -- we are encouraging each person/couple to bring some healthy snack/finger-food. The food will be set out, and at the close of the meeting we will simply spend time just 'hanging out'. Note: we will NOT by having formal dinners. It is our hope that in such an atmosphere of love that God will reveal Himself to us in powerful ways. You are invited to come! Welcome Home!

The Issachar School - Developing the Seer Anointing

"SEEING WHAT YOU COULD NOT SEE" - DVD's by Chuck Pierce & Robert Heidler One of the meanings of the AYIN season we have entered is to SOAR and SEE! The Lord wants us to learn to rise up like an eagle and see with new vision. This class will help you begin to operate in the Seer Anointing in a new way. You will also gain an understanding of what a curse is and how to see the power of deterioration if it is working in your life as well as learning to SEE all that He has provided for you as you see your blessings.

Salvation by Grace - A Journey Through Romans

Led by Joe & Tina Patch

The book of Romans contains the most detailed explanation of salvation by grace through faith in the scriptures. An understanding of the truths expressed in this book are essential not only to the salvation of every individual, but also to the maturing and success of every Christian. As we delve in, studying even some original meanings from Greek and Hebrew, we will see more of who Christ is and who He is in us.
